Purchases

Payment is handled by Apple In-App Purchase. StarLane does not receive your card number, Apple ID, or billing address.

The packs are starlane_lane_3 (3 flights), starlane_lane_12 (12 flights), and starlane_lane_30 (30 flights). RevenueCat checks the purchase receipt. The app user id it receives is an anonymous id the app creates when it opens and keeps on this device: dv_ followed by 32 hex characters. The app sends that id to RevenueCat. Anonymous RevenueCat ids are not credited. Before the store sheet opens, the app sends the screen name you entered to RevenueCat as the subscriber display name. Flights are added only after StarLane's server verifies the receipt, either from RevenueCat's webhook or from a server-side lookup. The app does not open Stripe Checkout and does not send a Stripe session or claim secret.

The app does not collect an advertising identifier, does not track you across other companies' apps, and does not show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.

On this device

The app keeps the anonymous id, your screen name, the pack token and remaining flights, practice progress, a mute choice, and a control style on the device. Clearing the app's storage, or uninstalling it, removes that. It does not remove a leaderboard row already submitted.

Death clips

A clip of your ending is made on this device from your own flight, up to 15 seconds. The video shows your ship, your distance, the fail line from that crash, and starlane.run. If that flight lands on the leaderboard, the ending can also say your place, or that there is a new king. It does not include other players' names. The file stays on this device until you download it or hand it to the share sheet. We do not upload the video.

What the server stores

StarLane's server, the same one the website uses, stores:

• The public leaderboard row: the name you submit, the distance, and the time. Names are not unique.
• The pack: screen name, which pack it was, how many flights it included, when it expires, and each scored flight saved on it (distance, why it ended, rank, whether it took the throne, and the king name and distance at that moment). A pack bought in the app does not store a Stripe session id or a claim secret.
• The one free scored flight: the anonymous id, the name, and the pack token. That row stays so the free flight cannot be issued again. The same id is sent when the board loads, but that request does not store a new row.
• A challenge link you share: the name, distance, whether the flight was practice or scored, the king name and distance, and the lane seed. Sharing opens the device share sheet or copies the text and link you chose. The link is public for 30 days. The address does not include your id.
• The store purchase: Apple, the product id, the store transaction id, the anonymous app user id, the display name, whether it was sandbox or production, whether it was credited or refunded, and the RevenueCat event id.

The server does not store an email address, a phone number, a card number, or an advertising identifier.

Screen name

The name is shown on the public leaderboard when you submit a scored flight, and on challenge links you share. A name that is not allowed, or that has been hidden, is shown as Pilot. The score stays. You can report a name from the leaderboard or the king. You can change it from the board or the flights sheet while that pack is still on file. The first change is immediate. Another change waits 24 hours. The link address does not change. The name is not an analytics user id.

Analytics

This app does not load Google Tag Manager (GTM-5T8MT9NW) or Google Analytics (G-N208HBZN57). It does not show a cookie banner and it does not store an analytics choice. Usage events are not sent to Google. The website at starlane.run is separate, and that site asks before it measures.

How long it is kept

A pack lasts 2 hours. The pack row and the flight rows on it are deleted 24 hours after that expiry. Discard flights revokes the remaining flights immediately. The row is still removed on that same schedule. A refund marks the purchase refunded and revokes unused flights. Scores already on the leaderboard stay, including after the pack row is gone and after a refund. Challenge links are deleted after 30 days. The free-flight id and name stay. The store purchase row stays so a later refund can be matched.

There is no account and no deletion request in the app. Clearing storage or uninstalling removes what is on the device only. The leaderboard row, the free-flight record, and the store purchase row are not removed by that. This product does not publish a contact address.
